We rely on support from some of America’s leading foundations and on contributions from people who care about poor seniors.
Without the support of hundreds of individuals, dozens of foundations and government agencies, NSCLC could not meet its mission.
Forty years ago, the National Senior Citizens Law Center began because its founders believed deeply that America’s elderly poor deserved good health care, a measure of economic security and unfettered access to our nation’s justice system.
In 2012-13, NSCLC:
- Protected 370,000 older adults in California from over $600 billion in lost in-home services and support benefits
- Ensured that 140,000 people will receive $1 billion in back Social Security and Supplemental Security Income benefits
- Secured $12 million in federal funding for consumer assistance to people with Medicare and Medicaid
