Collecting Data

–Personal Information
The NSCLC website collects personal information from visitors in certain circumstances which allow visitors to voluntarily submit their information. Personal information is collected when: a visitor voluntarily registers for an email newsletter or similar publication; a visitor fills out a form asking for information or assistance; a visitor chooses to join our website; a visitor chooses to make a donation to NSCLC; or when a visitor chooses to purchase newsletters or other publications from us.

The data we collect may include name, contact information (such as address, email address and phone number), and employer information. We do not sell or disclose any personal information we gather to any third parties.

–Credit Card Information
NSCLC uses PayPal or Authorize.net to collect and process credit card information from customers. We ask for credit card information only to bill customers for a product (such as newsletters or other publications) or to bill donors who have chosen to pay by credit card. Customers who do not wish to use a credit card may order publications from NSCLC or make a donation through the U.S. Mail. We do not store credit card information from customers.

–Anonymous Information
The NSCLC website gathers broad anonymous information and statistics about site visitors from website logs. This includes statistics about page views, unique views, unique visitors, repeat visitors, frequency of visits and peak-volume traffic periods. We occasionally share non-identifying and statistical data externally to prove that the material we provide is useful to our customers. We do not use this information to gather, collect or track any visitors’ personally identifiable information.
